Why Choose EquiLearn?
EquiLearn is an Equinology® Independent Licensed Company (ILC), and we are proud to be the only school in the eastern United States with the rights to deliver the comprehensive Equinology and Caninology® programs. EquiLearn’s curriculum stands out from other programs. Our courses are taught only by veterinarians and specialists in the field and feature small student-to-instructor ratios. Read on for more reasons why you should choose us for your continuing education!
Flexible, Professional Curriculum
Our courses have been created by experts and are continually updated, adapted and improved to ensure the newest information is presented with the most hands-on practice time. Our courses are highly recommended by veterinarians and other professionals in the animal healthcare industry because we understand exactly what skills and knowledge you need, whether you are an owner simply wanting to learn more about your own animal or a student wanting to begin a new career.
Our flexible curriculum allows you to take one course for personal interest or work through an entire certification program. Our post-course externships are well thought out and help you review and expand on the material covered in class.
We understand that students learn in a variety of ways, so we deliver material in written form, lecture, hands-on practice, specimens, multimedia presentations and plenty of discussion to ensure we meet your needs.
We are proud of the courses we offer, and we are always evolving. If there is a course you would like to see, please let us know!
World-Renowned Instructors
Our instructors are dynamic, energetic, reliable and highly qualified. Many have published research in peer-reviewed scientific journals. You simply can’t find better teachers in the industry! Learn more about our instructor qualifications.
Small Class Sizes
We purposefully limit our class sizes so each student can receive personalized attention. Most of our classes are restricted to no more than 14 participants. We also ensure a small animal-to-student ratio (usually no more than two students per animal) so everyone receives ample hands-on practice. All of our courses are held in quality facilities to ensure your comfort, safety and proper supervision.
Certification Programs
Our Equinology® and Caninology® certification programs are the most comprehensive in terms of content and hands-on experience. We offer four progressive levels of Equinology® Equine Body Worker certifications, ranging from 500+ hours to well over 2500+ hours. Specialized certifications in Equine Myofascial Release, Equine Acupressure and Equine CranioSacral Therapy are also offered, and there are two Caninology® Canine Body Worker certifications available, as well as a specialized certification in Canine Myofascial Release.
Our students are not merely handed a certification at the end of class. We require that each student complete a comprehensive externship (case studies and extra learning activities) to review and expand upon the material covered in the course and ensure our students gain valuable field experience. Only upon successful completion of the externships will certification be awarded.

Post-Course Student Support
We are committed to supporting our students even after they leave the classroom. While our onsite courses will prepare students to successfully complete their externships, we understand that sometimes additional help is needed. Our interactive monthly Zoom Externship Q&A Sessions are dedicated to sharing helpful tips, common mistakes and answering all externship questions. For those students needing more in-depth help, we offer one-on-one Virtual Tutoring sessions.

Our Equinology® and Caninology® courses have been recognized and approved by many continuing education providers, including the American Association of Veterinary State Board’s RACE program, the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association, the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, and the International Equine Body Worker Association.
